I don't even know the last time I threw a party, but when my kids asked for a party to celebrate their birthdays, I knew it had to be special. HOWEVER, the way life has been going, I was very aware that I did not have the mental capacity to plan two separate parties with their birthdays only being two weeks apart.
I've had ideas for a carnival themed birthday party saved as one of my Pinterest boards for years now and if was the PERFECT theme for a combined, gender neutral party! So, it was time to plan the Cooke Carnival!!!

One of the first decisions I made for the party was how I wanted the favors to look. I wanted there to be a keepsake and not just knick knacks that either get thrown away or lost. So, I thought souvenir cups would be really cute way for guest to remember the event. Now this is a kids party so OF COURSE there has to be treats, but for me it couldn't be any kind of treats, I was able to find a candy mixed bag at Party City with carnival themed candy like sugar babies, blow pops and more!

Next up was the decor and that wasn't too hard to decide on. I just need to stick to the carnival colors, add some balloons and keep it pretty simple, especially since I planned for most of the activities to be held outside.
